Construction of Belden's new, 40,000 sq ft production facility is progressing rapidly. The expansion was fueled by Belden's steady growth over the last two decades, necessitating larger space for employees and for a more streamlined production flow. The FIRST Robotics Competition kicked off on Saturday January 9th, and challenges high-school students from around the world to design, build, and program a complex robot within six weeks. Teams compete with their robots over 120 multi-day events worldwide – all leading up to the 2016 FIRST Championship at the Edward Jones Dome, April 27-30 in St. Louis. Ruland believes strongly in education and is excited to help inspire a future generation of engineers.
